Faculty members at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College presented a petition of no confidence in President Laurence Frank to the district Board of Trustees and demanded he be removed from the position.

Los Angeles Community College District chancellor Francisco Rodriguez said he retains confidence in Frank, according to the Los Angeles Times.

In the petition of no confidence, the faculty members accuse Frank of intentionally misleading them about a campus scandal that involved falsifying students' grades in a pilot program and failing to justify more than $157,000 the college received from 2014 to 2017 through a U.S. Department of Labor grant.

One district administrator was placed on administrative leave in January pending a federal criminal investigation into her handling of the grant. A second administrator involved in managing the grant left the college for a new position at a different college.
