University of Alaska Ends Financial Exigency

The Board of Regents of the University of Alaska system voted Tuesday to end the declaration of financial exigency that it adopted last month, Alaska Public Radio reported. The vote came after the board and Governor Mike Dunleavy reached an agreement on a deal to significantly pare, and spread out over three years, budget cuts that had led to the original declaration.
