Amazon will not build a new headquarters in New York City following backlash from local lawmakers over $3 billion in tax incentives for the project, the company announced yesterday. A planned Amazon campus in Virginia will move forward.
Representatives of several New York colleges told Inside Higher Ed in November that they supported the project and hoped they could eventually provide their graduates to the company.
