The College Board is honoring the death of SAT words -- infamously esoteric words that high school students memorize for the test and forget soon after -- with a special crossword puzzle in The New York Times. The launch of the puzzle coincides with the debut of a revised version of the test, which will be given for the first time on Saturday. A spokesperson for the newspaper said the puzzle combines SAT words and "words that capture the spirit of the high school and college experience."
