Temple University has temporarily suspended its Students for Justice in Palestine chapter after the group protested at a College of Engineering job fair where weapons manufacturers were present, the Philly Voice reported.

Between 12 and 15 people protested the event, which took place last Thursday, resulting in four arrests, including one student. According to Temple, the arrests came after the protesters were given verbal warnings to leave the building but refused. Temple also said that some protesters “physically engaged our police officers.”

SJP will not be allowed to host any events or meetings during its suspension. In an Instagram post, the group alleged that the protesters had begun to leave of their own accord when Temple’s police officers began “shoving, grabbing and assaulting” protesters. Temple Public Safety denies SJP’s version of events.
