Capital Campaign Watch: Bowie State, Dartmouth, St. John’s

The following colleges have finished campaigns in recent weeks.

• Bowie State University has raised $50 million, its goal for its campaign, more than two years before the campaign was supposed to end. The campaign has resulted in Bowie State’s endowment growing from $7 million to $40 million.
• Dartmouth College has raised more than $3.7 billion in a campaign that started eight years ago. Of undergraduate alumni, 60 percent participated.
• St. John’s College, in Maryland and New Mexico, has raised $326 million in a campaign that started in 2018. The original goal was $300 million.
