It you live in the USA or Canada, there's an election going on in your life.
I'm not going to tell you what color (oops, I mean "party") to vote for, but I do have an opportunity for you to knock some of the rust off your perhaps disused voting skills before the big day arrives. Also a chance to watch some pretty good environmental videos -- no extra charge.
Visit the Reduction Film Festival, online. Seventeen films. Three categories (documentary, fiction, and the all-important "other"). Check them out, then vote for your favorite.
More important, get the word out to environmentally- or sustainability-minded students. Put a link to the "environmental video of the week" on your sustainability web page. Include an archive for those who come late to the party. Then, encourage your students to "vote early, vote often".
And I don't just mean for their favorite video!
