Dinty W. Moore’s memoir Between Panic & Desire (University of Nebraska Press) was winner of the 2009 Grub Street Nonfiction Book Prize. His other books include The Accidental Buddhist, Toothpick Men, The Emperor’s Virtual Clothes, and the writing guide The Truth of the Matter: Art and Craft in Creative Nonfiction. A National Endowment for the Arts fellowship recipient, Moore has guest-taught creative nonfiction seminars across the United States and in Europe. In addition to editing Brevity, he is on the editorial board of Creative Nonfiction and is coordinating editor for the anthology Best Creative Nonfiction (W.W. Norton). Moore teaches writing at Ohio University and is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors of The Association of Writers & Writing Programs.
