The Faculty Senate at the University of South Carolina has voted no confidence in the university's Board of Trustees, reported The State.

The vote was in response to the board's controversial process of searching for a president, which some believe could lead to troubles with its accreditor.

It was a voice vote, which means that no official tallies were taken, but only a few nays were recorded during the Wednesday meeting, making it not unanimous.

According to WLTX19, Caslen drew protests during the spring selection process due to his comments linking binge drinking to sexual assault on campuses.
