The University of Wyoming on Monday said that Laurie Nichols will step down as president after her three-year contract ends in June, The Star Tribune reported. The move caught campus leaders by surprise, and board leaders were circumspect, with the board chair saying "I don’t mean to be offensive at all about it, but because it’s a personnel matter, I don’t have anything that I’m allowed to say beyond what was in the press release."
