Indiana Expels Student Who Attacked Muslim Woman

Indiana University at Bloomington has expelled Triceten D. Bickford, a sophomore who has been charged with physically attacking a Muslim woman and trying to remove her head scarf, The Indianapolis Star reported. Mark Land, a spokesman, said the dean of students “dismissed” Bickford on Monday, as a “direct result of what happened over the weekend.” Local authorities have charged Bickford with intimidation, strangulation and battery.
