- Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania is starting a new bachelor's program in computer forensics.
- Ithaca College will introduce a major in health care leadership in the fall. Graduates will be trained for jobs in health care facilities, insurance companies, public health agencies and pharmaceutical companies.
- Raritan Valley Community College, in New Jersey, has created a College for Working Adults designed to help working adults earn an associate degree in 2.5 years, even while the students hold down full-time jobs. The program is based on offering accelerated 10-week blocks of instruction for courses.
- The State University of New York at Albany, in conjunction with the New York State Office of Homeland Security, is offering a certificate in public security studies. The certificate will be available to graduate stedents at Albany's Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.
