- Central Penn College: June Werdlow Rogers, retired special agent in charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New England division.
- Cooper Union: Malcolm Gladwell, the author.
- Lehman College of the City University of New York: Billy Collins, former U.S. poet laureate.
- Marquette University: David McCullough, the biographer.
- Mills College: Beate Sirota Gordon, pioneer for women's rights.
- Prince George's Community College: Rushern L. Baker III, the county executive.
- Randolph-Macon College: James (Bud) Robertson Jr., executive director of the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies, at Virginia Tech.
- Southern Methodist University: U.S. Senator John Cornyn, Republican of Texas.
