Common App Acquires Reach Higher

The Common Application announced Thursday that it is acquiring Reach Higher, the group founded by Michelle Obama to encourage more young people to go to college. The Common App has become the dominant way for students to apply to many colleges and plays a key role in the admissions process. Officials of both organizations said that those colleges would now work more closely with the students Reach Higher has set out to engage.
