• Laurie Chesley, dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Grand Rapids Community College, in Michigan, has been promoted to provost there.
• James S. Klauber Sr., president of Owensboro Community and Technical College, in Kentucky, has been appointed president of Calhoun Community College, in Alabama.
• Richard S. Lapidus, dean of the College of Business Administration at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, has been selected as president of Fitchburg State University.
• James Mabry, vice president of academic affairs at Mesa Community College, in Arizona, has been chosen as president of Middlesex Community College, in Massachusetts.
• Simon Newman, chief executive officer of Cornerstone Management Group, in California, has been named president of Mount St. Mary’s University, in Maryland.
• Cynthia Teniente-Matson, vice president for administration and chief financial officer at California State University at Fresno, has been chosen as president of Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
