The following colleges and universities have announced their commencement speakers:

• Eureka College: Edward Diener, a leading scientist in the field of positive psychology.
• Miami Dade College: U.S. Sen. George LeMieux of Florida (Homestead Campus); Jamie Merisotis, president of the Lumina Foundation for Education (InterAmerican Campus); President Clinton (North and West Campus); Porfirio Lobo, president of Honduras (Wolfson Campus).
• New Jersey Institute of Technology: Kim Guadagno, lieutenant governor of New Jersey.
• Ohio University: Melanie R. Sabelhaus, former deputy administrator of the U. S. Department of Small Business Administration, and Lynn M. Harter, the Steven and Barbara Schoonover Professor of Health Communication in the School of Communication Studies at Ohio.
• Reed College: Larry Sanger, one of the co-founders of Wikipedia.
• Saint Joseph College, in Connecticut: Frances Shea-Buckley, a retired naval nurse and rear admiral; Rosanne Haggerty, president of Common Ground; and Marilynn (Lynn) Malerba, the first female chief of the Mohegan Tribe.
• University of Denver: Patricia A. Gabow, chief executive officer of Denver Health and Hospital Authority.
• University of Maryland Eastern Shore: Cicely Tyson, the actress.
• University of Nebraska at Kearney: Terry W. Hartle, senior vice president for government and public affairs at the American Council on Education.
• University of Washington: William H. Gates Sr., co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
• Western New England College: Conrad L. Ricketts, executive producer of ABC Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
