Inside Higher Ed published several articles this week of potential interest to readers of "Inside Digital Learning." They include:

  • An analysis of the U.S. education and workforce training landscape has identified 738,428 unique credentials -- double the initial estimate of 334,114. The report was published by Credential Engine, a nonprofit group.
  • A report from the student success company InsideTrack shows that universities with big online programs have wildly different strategies for communicating with prospective students -- with some reaching out to prospective students many times and through multiple channels, and others doing so sparingly.
  • Twenty-nine percent of college and university admissions leaders strongly agree that they are very likely to increase their recruitment of undergraduate online students this year -- far fewer than say they will recruit minority or transfer students, but more than say they will recruit international students or full-pay students. The data come from Inside Higher Ed's 2019 Survey of College and University Admissions Officers.
