Michigan State University is facing growing scrutiny -- including calls for the resignation of its president -- over the case of Larry Nassar, who was director of sports medicine at the university at the same time he worked for the U.S. gymnastics team. He has admitted to numerous counts of sexually assaulting team members -- and many victims say Michigan State did not do enough to prevent his actions. The university denies this, but on Friday announced the creation of a $10 million fund to assist Nassar's victims. The university has continued to say that it acted as soon as information was clear, but a statement from President Lou Anna K. Simon said this situation also "reinforces the importance of taking a hard look at ourselves and learning from what happened -- because it should never happen again."
