Going back to my days in graduate school, I have always had a fondness for economic models.

Important Visit

I have started visiting colleges with my daughter who is entering her senior year in high school. I know she can get an outstanding education at Hofstra but I also know she is looking for an experience away from home.

Commencement Remarks

In addition to serving as Provost, I also have the privilege of serving as president of my local school board. As president, I get to deliver a brief commencement address and hand the students their diplomas.

Testing

I view serving on my local school board as a privilege. We have an excellent school district and a community and a board that are committed to enhancing that excellence.

If I look at the major changes in higher education in recent years, the increase in student engagement and experiential learning are two of the most significant.
