The National Endowment for the Humanities and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation are partnering to encourage more scholars to pursue digital-first research projects, the organizations announced on Monday. The NEH-Mellon Fellowships for Digital Publication, a new grant program, will pay recipients $4,200 a month for up to 12 months to support their work on research "that requires digital formats and digital publication," the NEH said in a statement. The program is the latest initiative from the foundation in support of digital research.
