A state judge has rejected a challenge to the anti-hazing law in Illinois, The Chicago Tribune reported. The challenge came from four former officers of a Northern Illinois University fraternity who are facing hazing charges in the alcohol-related death of a student. The former officers charged that the law was too vague and broad, but the judge rejected those arguments, finding that “the state has a legitimate interest in providing a safe environment at school."
