Eastern Michigan University confirmed Friday it would not renew its Livonia campus lease, effective June 30. The college is moving courses online and to the main campus in Ypsilanti. The Livonia campus, which operates on the fourth floor of the Cambridge Center in 17 rooms, offers three programs for about 200 students, Geoff Larcom, college spokesperson, said in a statement. Most students also take classes on the main campus in Ypsilanti. Nursing students will move to a nearby health-care facility.

A student at SUNY Binghamton pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder after being accused of fatally stabbing of another student in a residence hall Sunday night. A public defender representing Michael Roque, 20, entered the plea Monday, according to CBS New York.

Arizona's Pima Community College announced plans to eliminate 6 percent of its staff Friday, as part of a three-year strategy to cut $15 million in spending, according to Tucson News Now. The cuts equate to about 51 full-time positions, as well as 10 faculty members and three administrative staff.

Four East Carolina University students were arrested Tuesday when authorities seized 2,500 bars of Xanax, marijuana and two shotguns from an off-campus fraternity house, according to The News and Observer. The fraternity has been suspended by Phi Kappa Tau's national organization pending further investigation. The university also is reviewing the incident.
