Centers for teaching and learning at institutions across the U.S. will be easier than ever to find and contact, thanks to a new interactive tool from the Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network.
The organization drew from an existing, now-defunct database hosted by the University of Kansas, coupled with data from the network's own list, according to Hoag Holmgren, executive director of the POD Network.
Members of the network, a collection of instructors and administrators interested in exchanging ideas about teaching and learning, have inquired in the past about a master database, Holmgren said.
"We imagine this to be pretty much a work continually in progress as new centers pop up or close and as people find out about it," Holmgren said.
The tool currently lists names and contact information for 1,264 teaching centers.
