Boeing has announced that it plans to spend $100 million on a series of worker-training initiatives, several of which involve access to online courses and a focus on developing employees' "digital literacy."

The aerospace company is working primary with Degreed, a lifelong-learning platform, to give workers access to degrees and certifications.

Boeing also plans to provide $6 million to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and several historically black colleges and universities for scholarships, internships and boot camp programs to "help students experience what it's like to work at Boeing."
