The following people were recently appointed to leadership positions in online or digital learning at their institutions:

  • Doreen Fisher-Bammer, director of online learning and instructional technology at Northampton Community College, in Pennsylvania, has been chosen as associate provost of virtual learning at Harrisburg Area Community College, also in Pennsylvania.
  • Catherine Kendall, chief information officer at the California Department of Conservation, has been selected as vice chancellor for digital innovation and infrastructure for the California Community Colleges.
  • John Mitchell, vice provost for teaching and learning at Stanford University, has been named special adviser to the provost for digital strategy there.
  • Kristen Pedersen, director of executive and professional education at the School of Business at Portland State University, has been named director of continuing and professional education at the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies at Norwich University.
  • Drew Robinson, lead designer in the design and innovation lab at the Tulsa Public Schools, in Oklahoma, has been appointed director of digital learning at Central Methodist University, also in Oklahoma.
